Guidelines

If your DR03A is installed well, skip directly to the

next chapter. The DR03A comprises an electronic

control unit, a microphone, a 5-button-keypad and ISO

connector plug for the car stereo.

Electronic control unit

Do not install the control unit near the vehicle’s heateror air conditioning unit. Do not expose it to direct sunlight. Avoid enclosing the unit inside the vehicle’s

metal wings or panels, which affect the quality of the Bluetooth connection.

Microphone

The microphone must be pointed towards the driver

and preferably fitted between the sun visor and the

rear-view mirror.

Power cable and audio cable

Power cable is fitted with black ISO connector and

audio cable is fitted with brown ISO connector.

Car stereo with ISO plugs

Disconnect the car stereo’s audio and power leads. Jointhe female connectors of the audio cable and power

supply cable to the car stereo. Join the vehicle’s audioand power cables to the male connectors of DR03A. Ifyour car stereo with a mute or telephone wire, connectthe yellow wire of the mute cable to the mute wire.

Refer to your car stereo’s manual to determine the

position of the mute or telephone cable.

Caution

The red wire of the power cable must be connected tothe constant 12V supply, the yellow wire connected to the ignition12V, and the black wire grounded. Check

the wiring diagram of the car stereo’s ISO power

connector plug on some vehicles, the position of the

red and orange wires may need to be reversed. This

can easily be done by reversing the fuse holders. Do

not connect the orange wire to the constant 12V

supply, a sit will run up the vehicle’s battery.

Car stereo without an ISO plugs

You can use a specific adapter for the vehicle (not

supplied), if you do not have an adapter, please

connect the power and audio wire one by one. If the car stereo has a mute jack, connect the yellow wire ofthe mute cable.

The connection of line out

If there is an audio amplifier in your car, you can

connect directly the line out to line in of car audio

amplifier, and enjoy stereo audio.

Q: Can DR03A Bluetooth hands free car kit be used with all mobile phones?

A: The hands free car kit is only used with the mobilephones which have standard Bluetooth function. Some mobile phones without Bluetooth function cannot be

paired with the hands free car kit.

Q: Do we need pairing every time when we use the

hands free car kit?

A: Before using the device for the first time, you mustcarry out the step of “Pairing/Connection”. Next time,

this step will be saved once paired and connected

successfully. Device will connect to the mobile phone automatically after pressing “On” key.
